Heike Trautmann is program chair of the 2024 edition of the Parallel Problem Solving From Nature (PPSN) conference. PPSN is one of the major conferences with focus on bio-inspired computation and related topics. It takes places bi-anually. PPSN'24, will be held in Hagenberg, Austria, September 14–18, 2024. MALEO is growing further! We are excited to welcome Moritz Vinzent Seiler! Moritz recently received his doctorate degree in Information Systems from the University of Münster under mainly supervised by MALEO group leader Prof. Heike Trautmann. Thus, Moritz has been a good colleague for many years and we are delighted that he decided to continue his academic career at Paderborn University.

This week Urban Škvorc joined our MALEO group as a PostDoc! Prior to this Urban did his PhD in Computer Science at the Computer Systems department at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Slowenia.
